UN Sustainable Development Goals
The Sustainable Development Goals are the UN's call to action and global pathway to creating a better, more sustainable future for everyone.
The goals are all connected and should not be addressed independently. They recognise that ending poverty and improving health and education, goes hand in hand with reducing inequality and spurring economic growth, all while tacking climate change and working to restore our oceans and our forests.

"The SDGs recognise that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests."
PLANTING TREES WITH 'JUST ONE Tree' CAN INTEGRATE 14 OF THE 17 SDGs INTO YOUR CSR INITIATIVE:
No Poverty UN Sustainable Development Goals
End poverty in all its forms everywhere
Through planting trees we help entire villages to lift themselves out of poverty.
Zero Hunger UN Sustainable Development Goals
End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture
Through the training provided in sustainable agroforestry, the replenishing of both soil nutrients and water tables, and planting fruit trees such as mango and papaya in Haiti,  we aid struggling families to achieve their own supply of sustainable food.
Clean Water and Sanitation UN Sustainable Development Goals
Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all
In 2015, 29% of the global population still lacked safe drinking water.

Trees filter and clean water. As the rainwater falls, the intricate network of roots below filter out the pollutants before the water reaches a water source. Furthermore, trees support critical watersheds supplying water to communities and cities everywhere.
Decent Work and Economic Growth UN Sustainable Development Goals
Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all
The organisations we fund hire the local villagers for the entire tree planting process, right from sourcing the native seeds through to maintaining the trees until maturity. By planting with JUST ONE Tree your business would be providing employment for countless villagers across different continents, supporting sustainable incomes and improving livelihoods for all.
Climate Action UN Sustainable Development Goals
Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
20 out of the last 22 years were the hottest on record.
The world continues to experience rising sea levels, extreme weather conditions and increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases. Planting trees is the only method we currently have for absorbing existing greenhouse gases and slowing the rate of global warming.
Life Below Water UN Sustainable Development Goals
Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development
Although it's not as romantic an idea as planting in the rainforest, a large proportion of the trees we plant are actually mangroves. Mangroves not only absorb and store up to 4 times more carbon than land based trees, they are indispensable to sea life, coral reefs and local fisheries. They serve as an important coastal barrier, feed and give shelter to sea creatures, protect coral reefs from being smothered in sediment and even cool the water enough to stop the local coral from bleaching. On top of all of this, they protect the coast line from washing away into the sea. They really do have an incredible influence on life above and below the water.
After planting our trees, any additional funds will be used to support other environmental initiatives, such as those focusing on plastic removal from our oceans.
Life on Land UN Sustainable Development Goals
Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss
Every two seconds man destroys an area of forest the size of a football field.
By planting with JUST ONE Tree ,  your business would be protecting against further deforestation by restoring forests. Through our reforestation partners we are reviving ecosystems, increasing biodiversity and expanding areas of habitat for the enormous array of species that depend on forests to survive. Once our trees have been planted, any left over funds will be used to support other environmental initiatives such as those focusing solely on deforestation.
