We've reached the end of our fourth year and what a year it’s been!
From new reforestation projects opened and more awards won, to recognition by the United Nations and becoming an official partner in their Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. JUST ONE Tree has really grown to new heights.
It’s been an incredibly exciting journey, scroll down to share it with us....

Thanks to your support combined with the hard work of our dedicated team at JUST ONE Tree, we've seen over 3 million trees planted.
That's restoring an area three times the size of Monaco.
But it's not just about each tree that grows. It's about:
- regenerating forests
- restoring the planet as nature intended
- increasing biodiversity on land and in the oceans
- improving lives in the communities where we plant
- raising environmental awareness in the classrooms
- tackling climate change.

OCEAN REGENERATION
Despite the turbulence our world has seen over the past 12 months, donations to JUST ONE Tree increased by a staggering 31%, meaning our kelp regeneration project received an equivalent increase in funding. All from 3p of every pound heading its way.
And we know how to pick a winner! Whilst working alongside our Seaforestation project, they were awarded the XPRIZE and are making great strides in improving marine biodiversity and food security, absorbing carbon from our oceans and trialling ways local communities can use the seaweed for sustainable income generation, such as a replacement for chemical fertilisers in farming.

PARTNERSHIPS FOR THE FUTURE
Climate change is a problem that can only be solved through unity. By working with businesses, we're having a greater collective impact, both in reforestation and in focussing on more sustainable practices.
This year our corporate donations increased by 48%.

JUST ONE TREE DAY - EDUCATIONAL IMPACT
580 schools have taken part in JUST ONE Tree Day, helping bring our environmental resources into the classrooms of over 206,000 children and spreading climate awareness into their wider school communities.
The event has united pupils across 4 continents, from Europe to as far as Bahrain and China, in reforesting our planet.
The children created wall displays, wrote poetry, letters to the government and made videos about reforestation. Here's just a small sample of projects created by students on their JUST ONE Tree Day:

U.N. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
The Sustainable Development Goals are the United Nation's call to action and their global pathway to creating a sustainable future.
Often, just a few individual goals are targeted. The intention by the UN however, is for them to be interconnected.
So we look to the wider system and how the goals intertwine, in order for us to shape a better future.

So we look to the wider system and how the goals intertwine, in order for us to shape a better future.
That's why through our work at JUST ONE Tree we're contributing to 14 out of the 17 SDGs:
Why are these goals important?
Taking just one goal as an example, gender equality, check out our blog on women empowerment and how it helps shape the future of our planet.
